*Rounds are played immediately when available.
**All finals will be played at the same time.
*** Captains are required to confirm player attendance 15 minutes before the start of their first tie.
**** Captains are required to submit their line-up 15 minutes before their tie.

** Only Badminton shoes are permitted inside the venue.

*** Only water and sports drink allowed in the gym.

**** All food, snacks, other than water and sports drink are strictly prohibited within the gym.

[  TOURNAMENT FORMAT  ]

​

• Maximum 24x Teams, Minimum of 6x to a maximum of 12x players.

• Each team must consist of a minimum of 2x Females and 4x Males players.

• Ties are best of 5x matches: 2x Men's Doubles, 1x Women's Doubles, and 2x Mixed Doubles.

• Each match will follow standard BWF

  • Only on-court players are expected to officiate their own games.

• Teams may bench players at their own discretion.

• The same pair cannot play twice in the same tie.

• Players may only play a maximum of 2 matches in the same tie.

• Only registered & confirmed players may participate in the tournament.

• All players are required to play in at least one match in order to qualify for Semi-Finals and Finals.

• In pool play, #1 continues in A, #2 in B, and #3 in C flight Quarter-Finals.

• 2x dozen of Tournament Grade shuttle will be provided per team.

 

[  GAMES FORMAT  ]
 

• Standard Badminton Rules apply.

• Best of 3 games, Rally points system to 21 per set (Cap at 30).

• During Round Robins, coaching is only allowed between sets.

• In Quarter-Finals and Finals, coaching is permitted at 11 pts interval and between sets.

• In  the case of a dispute, please seek support from the Control Desk.

  • If applicable, Control Desk’s decision will be the final.

• Players are to officiate their own games, and Control Desk's decision is final..

  • Out of respect for players, we kindly ask spectators not to be involved in score keeping, line calls, or being involved at all.

• In the event of a forfeit, withdrawal, or no show, the players in questions will be disqualified from the tournament.

• New Rule for all future tournaments with UNLTD:

  • Any male (Boy or Man) found using the female washroom, under any circumstances, will be disqualified from the tournament without warning.

 

[  HEALTH GUIDELINE  ]

​We highly encourage and recommend all players and spectators to observe the following practice:

​

• Regularly wash and disinfect your hands.

• A face mask is highly recommended, especially during the tournament where being in close proximity of many others is unavoidable.

• In the event where you experience obvious flu and/or cold symptons, we recommend to stay home as to limit exposing others to illness.

• The organizers reserve the right to turn any individual showing obvious signs of illness.

Any individual or player displaying reasonable signs of  cold, flu, or similar illnesses will be disqualified immediately

​

 

[  REGISTRATION & DEADLINES  ]

$500 per team ( HST included )

* Every registered player on the roster will receive a SUPER gift from UNLTD.

** Every team will be provided 2x dozens of shuttlecocks for the tournament.

*** The only method of payment that we are accepting for this tournament is via e-Transfer from a Canadian Bank. No other form of payment will be accepted.

[IMPOTANT NOTICE]

Due to sheer interest for team tournaments, we will be taking registration in the order they come in (Time stamp on the email). At which point, teams have 24 hours to also submit their payment to complete their entry.

 

Should the tournament become full and we are not able to make alternative arrangements, we will refund your entry in full.

All teams will be seeded at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.

• Withdrawal before registration is closed is subject to a $100 admin fee.

• Withdrawal after registration is closed cannot be refunded.

• Roster cannot be changed after January 20th, 2024

[TOURNAMENT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY]

​

By registering for the tournament, players agree and give permission to be photographed and recorded during the tournament and to be used in the public to promote 4U Badminton Centre and tournament sponsors. Furthermore, all participants assume all risks, damages, and loss that they may incur during the tournament. 

• Players below the age of 19 years old on the day of the tournament must also register Full name and contact information of their guardian.

• All players must be at least the age of 14 years old on the day of the tournament. Organizers reserve the right to request government-issued ID to confirm ID and eligibility of any players on the day of the tournament. 

[PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO CONSENT]
**By registering for this tournament, you agree to permit photographs and video to be taken of you for uses related to public promotion of UNLTD BADMINTON.
